The end of the world
25 10 2005In Luke 21 (and Mark 13 and Matthew 24), Jesus talks about the end of the present age – a subject that has always stirred up interest and controversy. In this chapter of Luke, Jesus describes a world that will always be in chaos (v. 5-11), a significant delay before his return (v. 12-24), involving both persecution for the church and opportunities for the nations to turn to God, and a crisis generation (v. 25-33) when at the end everything will come to a sudden conclusion.
