Downloadable version of 'Facing the Challenge'

The downloadable version of 'Facing the Challenge' contains everything that you need to run the course with a group or to study it for yourself:

  • the entire course handbook in pdf format
  • six sets of printable overhead projector slide masters, also in pdf format
  • six MS PowerPoint® presentations

The CDROM contains sound tracks for the presentations. These are not included in the downloadable version. The CDROM also includes a copy of this web site, and this is not included in the downloadable version either.

The downloadable version costs just £9.99 (about US$ 19) - a significant saving on the price of the CDROM!

IBM compatible Personal computer capable of running Adobe Reader® and MS PowerPoint® or PowerPoint® Viewer.

Focus Radio sells the downloadable version of 'Facing the Challenge' in good faith. However, we can not guarantee that it will run on any particular system. In the event that you are unable to run it on your system, our liability is limited to refunding what you have paid to download the course.

The download is a single self-extracting zipped file of about 7 MB size.

Please note: On the Worldpay payment pages, you will be asked to give your mailing address for the purpose of authenticating your credit card, even though you are buying the course as a download. You can safely ignore the 'shipping and handling details' and 'general information' sections.

When you have completed your online payment using Worldpay, you will be taken to the Worldpay receipt page. This includes a link called 'view merchant receipt' (ringed in red on the screen image below):

Click on this link, and it will bring you back to our online store on a page confirming your purchase. This page includes a link called 'click here to download' - ringed in red below:

Important note: the download file remains available for five days (120 hours) from the time you place your order. You may find it helpful to right click on the link (circled in red) and save the URL in case you need to return to the download later. (If you have problems downloading the file, or if you run out of time, please contact us, and we will do our best to help. However, it is up to you to complete the download within the available time.)

Click on the 'click here to download' link, and it will open a download dialog:

At this screen, you can choose either to open the file or to Save to Disk. We recommend that you choose Save to Disk, and save the download file (challenge.exe) to a convenient location on your hard disk.

How to install:

You may find it helpful to print out this page for future reference, before you download the course.

Download the file challenge.exe to a convenient location on your hard disk, as described in the previous section.

When the download is complete, double-click on the file. This will extract all the course files to a folder called 'Challenge' (unless you specify an alternative destination).
