'Seize the Day' podcast #6 - July 2009: Chris Wright talks about his book 'The Mission of God.' (22 mins)
'I had taught in the area of biblical foundations for mission, and increasingly felt that rather than talking about the biblical foundations for mission I should be talking about the missional basis of the Bible - that the whole Bible, from beginning to end, really, is to do with the mission of God. And so I wanted to develop a way of looking at, thinking about, reading the scriptures from the perspective of mission. And that, really, was what led to both the development in the way I taught the subject, and also eventually to this rather large book.'
In this podcast, we're talking to Chris Wright, the International Director of the Langham Partnership International, about his book 'The Mission of God: unlocking the Bible's grand narrative.'
Also in this programme John Ayrton and David Couchman talk about how Christians can respond to the spirituality expressed when people respond to public tragedies and private grief.
